About Us
Downers Grove Camera Club was founded in 1934 and is dedicated to the pursuit and enjoyment of photography. Members come to club meetings to share their photographic expertise and knowledge. We meet at 7:00pm on the 1st and 2nd Tuesday (and some months on the 4th Tuesday), October through May. We meet over Zoom and in Person. When we meet in person it is at the United Methodist Church in Woodridge, Illinois. See our Calendar for detailed information. The first Tuesday of the month is a competition night. The 2nd and 4th Tuesdays are dedicated to programs or workshops or social events. As a member of the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (CACCA), we send the best work of our members to represent our club in its monthly competitions to be judged against the best from about 35 other Chicago area camera clubs. Guests are always welcome – come and see what we are all about. Our many experienced members are always eager to answer questions and help those who wish to become familiar with the art of photography in its many forms. Mix all this with a large dose of social interaction and you have an ideal setting to both learn and enjoy your hobby. There is no better place to practice your hobby and enjoy great comradeship at the same time.
